IMPRESSION OF THE CAPE

The breeze on the Cape is warm.
The moon is full and all around us tiny waves
skip endlessly and glimmer.
The party on the shore is a distant sound
while you are close and very loud.

The moon is full and all around us tiny waves
skip endlessly and glimmer.

A version of this poem first appeared in Pennine Ink, #19 Summer.
